Annals of Miami County

There are numerous sources for traditional birth, marriage and death records. It is not my goal to reinvent the wheel here, but to provide information gleaned from sources outside of the obvious locations. Many newer researchers (and older ones, as well) create their own brick walls by allowing a lack of documents to impede their progress. Official records go missing for a list of reasons. In an effort to replace some of the information contained in those misfiled, damaged, destroyed or just plain lost documents, and to fill in the blanks between them, I invite you to click on the links below. Keep in mind, this is very much a work in progress and is being updated often. Additionally, there are some items contributed by Miami County Indiana Worth Remembering, a local history-based 501c3 organization.
